Art can be Owned in many different ways whether it is owned by the nation for example the national portrait gallery. Who owns many different iconic paintings such as artworks by Leonardo Da Vinci or the complete opposite with private owned art which are mainly in deserted factories and storage units sound the world such as new york or Germany? Public or national-owned artworks art galleries are free to anyone to see. They mainly get profits off by people donating and membership schemes and specialist art collections and exhibits to maintain the space and bring in new collections. On the opposite end, which means that you have to pay to enter the building, which is more common in the European continent of Europe.

Art can be protected in many ways especially when the art has a significant meaning to a certain group of people such as when riots were happening in England the statue of Winston Churchill was boarded up so that it couldn’t be vandalised by people as to a lot of people in England he is a very important section in life

Many artworks cant be owned such as murals or graffiti created by a certain person much like Banksy with his work plastered over many different walls and buildings around England. Which another person owns. Art can be commissioned by anyone if you have the correct amount of money whether it is for charity or personal space in your home. most of the art is controlled by wealthy people and celebrity as they are the only people apart from countries that can afford these pieces. This is why stolen art and fine art scams come around there are certain galleries and sellers which do not allow celebrities to buy artwork such as Danial Radcliff who was tools at a new york art fair that he would be rejected if he tried to buy any pieces as they want to sell to prestigious collectors as it fits there brand more. The global elite like to have artworks as these are one of a kind pieces which in my opinion do get cheapened the more you see it such as on a tote bag tea towel or shirt this is a personal preference but this does stop the enjoyment that the art gives. Art isn’t always purchased to look at sometimes it is bought to start there own collection so that later on they have some financial returns.
