There are many different ways that digital spaces affect us, in positive and negative ways. If you take Social media platforms there are negative aspects as Instagram is a platform where people share aesthetically pleasing, successful and admirable segments of there lives, without the user seeing the negative aspects that they are going through. Making the onlooker see life portrayed through rose-tinted glasses. However, you can stay connected with people a lot easier and catch up on what they are doing in there lives through one quick sweep of there profile. Not just in your area but worldwide and accessible to anyone, depending on your security settings

Recently though the Pandemic everyone has moved all social interactions online. Whether it is a birthday party zoom call or a committee meeting everyone has adapted. This change is drastic for people of the older generation as they aren't familiar with this recent societal change. This change could push people further apart whether it is a romantic relationship or a friendship as they feel alone with no human touch especially if you live alone and with one click of a button they could be completely disconnected from the world which is very damaging to there mental health. nevertheless, this can bring us closer together with a constant support bubble it means that if you have an issue someone is always there at the other end of the phone.
